This individualized outpatient treatment program is imperative for a lasting recovery mind, body, and spirit. By successfully integrating these holistic addiction treatment components, we provide each client with the best foundation they can have for achieving not only lasting recovery from their addictions but as importantly a better way of living a successful and joyous life.
Dr. Sharon Norling and The Mind Body Spirit Center helps treat people recovering from a wide range of addictions. We also treat the underlying causes of addiction such as, dual diagnosis where substance addiction coexists together with other symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, pain, etc.
Addicts and their families suffer from neurotransmitter imbalances. These imbalances cause mood disorders which increases the risk for addictions and relapses. Specific lab testing can determine the levels of serotonin, GABA, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, glutamate and cortisol. These imbalances can be treated with specific targeted amino acids and nutrients that help the body make the neurotransmitters.
It is interesting to note that Psychiatrists are the only specialty group of doctors that do not test their own organ, the brain. They do not test the neurotransmitters. They just write prescriptions. Sometimes a drug for another drug is not the answer.
We have one of the few treatment programs in the world that uses specialized testing and develops an individual biochemical profile for clients.
Patients are treated as individuals and a whole person. Comprehensive assessment, relieving symptoms, and helping an addict regain health supports sustained recovery.
Patricia Lynn Belkowitz, C.Ht., EFT-CC;
The subconscious mind is a powerful goal-achieving machine. The mind does matter. When one has the desire to let go of destructive habits and addictions, hypnotic suggestions to reinforce the motivation to achieve the goal are very effective. Subconscious programming is the basis for conscious action. Research studies show significant long term success rates.
Claire Staffa, Reiki Master;
Some addicts suffer from tremendous emotional and physical pain. The disease of addiction creates reservoirs of grief and guilt. Successful treatment relies in great part on providing an environment of acceptance that promotes self-love. Reiki fits this requirement perfectly. Many clients have claimed that the first time they ever felt unconditionally loved was during a Reiki session.
Patricia Lynn Belkowitz and Claire Staffa;
Hypnosis and Reiki create profoundly relaxing effects, which make the combination of these two powerful modalities even more effective for the treatment of addictions. Quantum Rejuvenation complements any other form of medical treatment, as there are no contraindications. There is a long history of both scientific and anecdotal evidence to support the use of behavioral and relaxation approaches to treat addictions.
